The company employs 30 people.

Génémark manufactures basic generic drugs –such as antiseptics, antiparasitics, anti-inflammatory and cough medicines– in syrup and tablet form.

The Cameroon market for generic drugs has been growing by 5% a year since 1996, when the government  adopted a policy to encourage their distribution. Generics are now supplied mostly from India and China. The development of local production will improve access to these drugs and reduce prices.

The company’s development plan aims to add another 20 products by 2011 and to double production capacity.
