The company employs 21 people.

Phileol started operations in the last quarter of 2009, established in the south of the island, in Tsihombe.

The company organises castor bean cultivation and harvesting in partnership with local communities, contributing actively to the development of this particularly poor region of Madagascar.  It processes the beans to produce natural vegetable oil for the European olio-chemical, plastic processing and pharmaceutical industries.

Because of its technical characteristics and its environmental advantages, castor oil is a chemical agent which is increasingly used in industrial applications.
