Equip Plus is one of the top three companies in Senegal in electromechanical equipment for hydraulic, agricultural and energy applications. It represents several international brands such as SDMO and Massey Ferguson.
While Equip Plus historically worked largely for the public sector, its strategy is now focused on meeting private sector needs. Other elements of its strategy are a strong emphasis on high-quality after-sales service and diversification into the management of water and electricity concessions in rural areas.
An important restructuring of the company is currently in progress, with advice and assistance from I&P: this includes implementation of an improved information system and management indicators, and reinforced management of the rural concessions.
This restructuring is a prerequisite for the possible conversion into equity capital of convertible loans provided in 2009 by I&P and the Dutch organisation Oïkocredit.
